Ummah Films' Ramadan Reruns (Season 2 archive)

Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,

The point of the video is to make people more conscious of these silly actions so they will think twice before they do it during the next Ramadan. Reminding myself before anyone else, Ramadan is a blessing so let's try not to take it for granted but rather take advantage of it by increasing our Ibadat (worships) so we can become better Muslims, even after Ramadan is over InshAllah.

Assalaam Brother Ali,

Once again you have managed to bring up things that we all see happening around us in ramadan. And to be honest many of us, including me, are guilty of such behavior. Many thanks for reminding us. May Allah subhana wa taala reward you for your efforts.

As soon as i will receive this videoblog i will make the Dutch translations so inshaallah many more people will benefit from your wonderfull work.

Assalaam alaikum

i've been wanting to leave a comment for some time. finally i have the chance.

i've watched all of the reminders uptil now, and have waited for this one with great anticipation.
these reminders are not only educating and funny but gives a sense of "community", bonding muslims together with similarities.
Wherever a muslim may be, (not only in the US) they go through the same experiences. Its shows how common all muslims are.
These reminders, if they spread at the same speed, can serve a great purpose, bringing the Ummah together.
I hope to leave more comments later
May you keep up the work InshAllah.

yeah i get what you are saying about Ramadan moonsighting. you know what, all the mosque should elect a commity for only moonsighting for ramadan, and this should be for north America only so that everyone is celebrating Eid togather. inshaallah.

"all the mosque should elect a commity for only moonsighting for ramadan, and this should be for north America only so that everyone is celebrating Eid togather. inshaallah"

This goes against the quran and sunnah.

1st of all north America is not ummah. Ramadan prescribed to Muslim, not Saudi Muslim, American Muslim etc...Muslims as a whole, the quran and sunnah is very clear on this. Any Muslim any where sights the moon that means the month started. It’s not about location it about the beginning of the month. Easy as that. But those who want to divide the ummah(all so called Muslim courtiers, corrupt leader, sell out scholars) will continue this trash. To make Muslim busy over silly matters and not yo revive the ummah.

wa salam alikum, the real solution for our problem is implementation, application of the quran and sunnah and Islam as a way of life and not mere religion.

Masha'Allah I LOVE IT!!!! This is my new favorite. Insha'Allah more than anything, I hope these videos inspire other muslims to get on their feet and help muslims and humanity in general. Keep in mind Ali is one person, who is trying, putting in effort, and with the help of Allah making a difference....we too can help each other with enough dedication and effort. If one person can make a change, than you can make a change.

May Allah reward you for even the efforts put for by people you've motivated, AMEEN

Dear Ali:
Salam! I just wanted to make a quick comment, as usual you make wonderful videos regarding issues that are important to the daily lives of Muslims. I know there are differences of opinion regarding moonsighting, and ultimately in my opinion the Neeya is more important than the routine, but I think when we can match the Neeya with the routine then we are expressing our true knowledge and beleifs together. Keep in mind, Science and Islam are not antithesis to each other, but they work together and even in the Quran their are instances of scientific theory that has only been recently confirmed. I think a combination of sight and calculations is important regarding moonsightings. If you look at www.moonsightings.com Dr. Khaled Shakut explains his reasonings for everything regarding using the calculations to help with the sighting. It is my beleif that should we have a deviation from scientific fact and reasoning then not just one or two people will have seen such a phenomenon, but that revelation will be revealed to a good number of Muslims who will Inshallah pass it on to everyone. Although, it is important to beleive a Muslim on his or her word, it is also important to make sure that Muslim was not mistaken or lead astray. Please dear brother on the website their are a bunch of links about certain scientific calculations that relate to our practice of Islam. The coolest thing I think is to see the sightings of the moon each month from around the world that is reported. Take a look around. One final comment sometimes its not the amount of food that causes the buildup of gas, but in our diverse cultures it can be the type of food we eat(haha). Inshallah, you have a wonderful EID, you and your family is in Good Health, and Allah is pleased with you! Have a wonderful day! Salam Out!

sorry i forget to add this part. I loved the Quran Verse, but i almost missed it, why put Quran at the end when it should be at the beginning! You know what I am saying! Ok that is your line! haha! I promise to never use it again, unless I comment on the show!

Assalamu alaykum Brother Ali,

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for the second season then i gave up. However, today my student from my islamic school i work at showed it to me (bc he knows i am a big fan). i quickly browsed thru the topics and i was pleasantly surprised. you definitely touch on topics that are constantly in my head. Mashallah May Allah9SWT) continue to help you do a great job. BTW putting the Quran ayah reflecting the topic is a great idea. My student actually read it with seriousness. Unfortunately even when kids go to ISlamic school, islamic issue they do not take seriously and are "bored in class" that is why i LOVE these videos bc you see the students laugh and then take it seriously. ok i have said enough.i am a big fan! Keep up the good work!!

Asalamu Alaykum,

Mash'allah

The Sahaba's (RA) use to cry 6 months before ramadan, that allah give them another chance to fast in the blessed month and they may gain the full reward the month has to offer,
And then once the blessed month of ramadan is over they wold cry another 6 months for allah to except their fast and ibadat that they did and forgive them for their mistakes?

Subhanallah, we forget once Ramadan is over, yet they remember it through out the year.
Muslims - Lets start try to put the quailties the Sahaba's had into our lifes inssallah, then only then the hereafter will be much easier inssallah.

Introspection is very important, Saba, and even though it makes you feel bad, that's actually a really good thing, because it means that you don't like things the way they are and videos like this are meant to encourage us to change and help change.

Dear brothers & sisters,

Plz there is one request for all Muslims don’t neglect.

You are not supposed to say "mosque" instead say "masjid". islam organistion has found that the meaning of "mosque" means "mosquitos" and plz

Don’t write "mecca" it means "house of wines" so plz write it correctly as "makkah" and

Don’t write the name of our prophet (slw) or u ar name in short form as "mohd" it means "the dog with big mouth"

So write it completely as "muhammed" plz send this 2 all muslims

Thanks

Wa Alaikum salaam

Alhamdulilah you have hit me on a level that I understand and am actually paying attention to what it is your saying.
As a revert I get bored with long winded lectures and books that go on and on and on...I want to be a good muslim I want to be a good example and live a good life how we as muslims should be living but some brothers make it look like rocket science and that just puts me off. I am so happy I came across your Vlogs because you have answered questions and guided me in a more positive way that was both enjoyable and kept it real to. Thanks bro and may Allah Subhanwa tallah reward you.

I allready can't wait for the next ramadan thanks to this video. I think it´s a wonderfull idea to put the aya of the quran at the end of the video. Because of the context it is possible to understand the aya much better.

Thank you for reminding us Ali and may Allah help you with this fantastic work you do, also may Allah reward you ( and all muslims ofcours, including me :P ) with aljannat FIRDOS.

AMEEN.

"This is not Ramadhan anymore".

I really can’t buy this person at all. He’s an Iranian who’s not suffered the atrocity those Iranian young boys and girls have suffered and are suffering, having lived his life in America!
That is why he can praise Islam because he has no idea how it feels living under Islamic subjugation as a young person!
If he had had lived his life in Iran, I swear to God or Allah if you prefer as someone who’s been brain-washed by Arabic Culture and not by Real Islam because Arabs are a racist and arrogant nation and their arrogance has been blamed by God even in Koran. That’s why they insist to impose their language and culture to the whole world in the name of Islam whereas according to the real Islamic ideology, Islam is a global religion therefore, you don’t have to become an Arab in order to become a Muslim. You can keep your cultural appearance, name etc. and still be a Muslim but NO… They insist you have to grow a beard right after conversion, choose an “Arabic” name NOT “Islamic Name” because there is no such thing as Islamic Name being Islam a global religion and learn Arabic because you wouldn’t be a Muslim if you don’t pray to God or the Arabic God, Allah, if you don’t speak to him in Arabic! Apparently, God is an Arab and would not understand any language other than Arabic!
This person on the other hand has suffered some frustration in America which is not very hard to see what his frustrations has been! How can I see that?! It’s easy! He’s playing cool, funny, open-minded, even trying to be somewhat sexy! Where has he learned all these things?! To his admission, he’s been hanging out with white Americans and has been drinking, clubbing, chasing girls etc. He obviously has not been received well to his liking and has been disappointed and that’s why he’s become a Islam Lover. He’s fighting back! I think this guy’s so called activities are based on sheer selfish motive; therefore I cannot buy it or hoopla for it!

Funny, that always happens to me, people think that fasting for thirty days means no food or drink for thirty days, day and NIGHT. For some reason, people always expect that during Ramadan, I am allowed to drink water. Masha'Allah, good video.

Ohh, thank you sooo much. it is ramadan here right now. The way u explained the "seasonal muslims" in this video, i, myself, felt this way last year. i am a 15 year old muslim girl and i feel i'm a good mulsim in heart so i wore a scarf every ramadan for the past 2 years, and i felt good. And right when ramadan ended, i took it off and went back to gossiping and a little bit of swearing. And this ramadan i am telling myself to not take off my hijab after ramadan and keep it on forever and i want to change some of my bad manners (gossip/backbite) inshallah. THanks for reminding me to NOT be a seosanal muslim. Your videos have really taught me many islamic things in a very kiddish and at the same time very wise way. Thank you so much and keep making more of your video. Allah afis :)

Ali ! this is good ! although what your doing is simple, (it "looks" simple, altho it's hard work!) i know brother, but this is just a great reminder again! Keep up! and don't stop man. I hope i'll meet u one day , (idk, maybe in the airport or smthg?) and a lot more great muslims like you all the time in my life, again, May ALLAH The Almighty forgive you for all your sins and bless you and me and all of us muslims and all men with his great mercy and forgiveness and lead us back forever to the straight path. Amen.
