New Video! Baba Ali on the steets asking questions about Islam

Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,

We had some free time before the comedy show so we decided to hit up the streets and ask our non-muslim neighbors what they know about Islam. Here are some of the answers we received.

I'm a non-Muslim and its Muslims like you Ali that have made it so I would have received a 100% on that quiz. Keep up the good work.

This reminded me of the video American Mormon done by a group of guys from my faith. They traveled the country and did a very similar thing.

Salaam alaikum.

I was discouraged to see the many who could not answer basic questions about Islam, but encouraged by the older gentleman that answered almost every question that (we saw) was asked of him. i believe that this project shows that people who are interested are benefiting from the information out there, we just need to try harder to make sure our faith i known by all.

It makes me wonder though, would we do any better if one of these people walked around asking Musliims about a non-Muslim faith. InshAllah we will all be open to knowledge by the power of Allah.

Salaam,
Lyana

assalam o alikum wr wb
nice video....
i have a suggestion.... instead of asking when and where a certain thing is..... ask y we do this..... this will help to clear up their minds about the islam and why islam asks to perform a particular thing... an opportunity for dawah as well........ for example, instead of asking when is fasting, ask why muslim fast or perform salaah.. and so on
by the way, question abt head scarf was good
thank u for serving islam....
may Allah bless u all

I did but some of the answers got edited out. I came up with about 11 or 12 questions and asked a bunch of random people and different questions but I had no control of the content of the final video. My role in this video was just to interview people.

The project was more of a freestyle thing. Why Islam asked to do an interview with me and I told them it would be more interesting to go around and ask people about what they know about Islam. The point of the video was to show that many non-Muslims don't know much about their Muslim neighbors to remind people why its important for us to educate those around us. (this is a reminder to myself as well)

I think that whyislam.org is doing a great job with advertising on billboards and buses.

A-salaamu alaikum Br. Ali, that was both funny and informative - like you said above, informing us that many of our neighbors don't know much about Islam. Excellent job. Hope that in the coming years we can change the results of such surveys with our efforts insha'allah. Ma'salaam.

asalaamualaykum.great job-you have courage and strength we shud be envious of.i wish people in europe would be more open to enhancing their knowledge about islam.u gotta giv it to americans-like muslims they suffer a negative stereotype about being muslim haters but when we visited there post 9/11 nikaab n all with bearded hubby we were treated like the best thing since sliced bread. just one word of advice and i mean it with ikhlaas only to fulfil the duty of helping a muslim....why not have a full sunnah length beard?we get a lot of stick here in ireland over the beard mainly becoz the LIBERALS dont have one while the EXTREMISTS brandish them.now as muslims we know better than to label ourselves but through this beautiful talent Allah has given you and by Him using you as a flag bearer for His Deen surely u can promote the beard in its proper reason than the stereotype its placed in?inshAllah.again my sincerest apologies if i offended or hurt you in anyway with this offering of advice.
