Time

Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,

Time - how easily we spend it

I came across this video and I wanted to share it with UF viewers

The was televised in the Middle East a while ago. It just another reminder for all of us, including myself, about something that we can easily waste....time.

Al-Ankaboot ~ The Spider
29.45
You shall recite what is revealed to you of the SCRIPTURE, and observe the prayers, for the prayers prohibit EVIL and VICE.
But the REMEMBERANCE OF ALLAH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT OBJECTIVE.
ALLAH knows everything you do.

Al-A’araf ~ The Heights
7.205
You shall REMEMBER your LORD
WITHIN YOURSELF,
PUBLICLY,
PRIVATELY,
And QUIETLY,
DAY AND NIGHT;
Do not be UNAWARE.

Al-Hujurat~ The Chambers
49:11
11.O you who believe NO PEOPLE, shall RIDICULE other people, for they may be BETTER than they…

Al-Baqarah ~ The Cow
2.256
There shall be NO COMPULSION (FORCE) IN RELIGION…

Al-Muzzammil ~ Cloaked
73.20
…WHATEVER GOOD you send on behalf of your souls, you will find it at ALLAH far better and GENEROUSLY REWARDED…

Al-Baqarah
2.177
RIGHTEOUSNESS is not turning your face towards the east or the west.
RIGHTEOUS are those who believe in ALLAH,
the LAST DAY,
the ANGELS,
the SCRIPTURE,
and the PROPHETS;
and GIVE the MONEY CHEERFULLY, to the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the travelling alien, the beggars, and to free the slaves; and they observe the prayers and give the obligatory charity (Zakat); and they KEEP THEIR WORD whenever they make a promise; and they steadfastly persevere in the face of persecution, HARDSHIP and war. These are the TRUTHFUL, these are the RIGHTEOUS.

Assalaamu Alaikum Brother Ali,

"Maa Sha Allah" & "Jazak Allahu Khairan"!!!

Brother, we have been maintaining a web (Light-of-Islam.net) for six years now. This is an e-newsletter published regularly. We just post interesting exerpts from different sources with a presentable layout, while citing the URL of the source always.

Is there a way how we could save video clips from your blogs to our computer, and then re-send it through our e-newsletter, while acknowledging the original source? It's just that we prefer not to click on the "share" prompt, as it does not provide us with the layout we usually adopt to send our e-newsletter to 800 subscribers. Hope I'm not making it confusing for you.

Awaiting your response.
Jazak Allahu khairan.

Your sister in Islam,
Moderator,

Ali, I want to thank you for your fantastic film clips. As one of your "non-Muslim" fans I can tell you that you are doing a great job to build interfaith relations with all communities around the world that see your work. You are doing what is so needed, and that is allowing others to relate to you, a practicing Muslim. I love how you openly discuss, laugh, and have fun while all the while honoring your deep faith in God and Islam. Frankly, Islam needs a funny amicable face so those outside of the Umma can relax a bit and just get to know Muslims without fear. :)
Professionally I work in Public Relations, personally I am very passionate about interfaith relations, especially between Muslims and non-Muslims in my community. There is such a need for the type of PR you are doing brother. Through your God-given talents you are allowing others to open their hearts and minds to the true Islam of peace. Consequently when non-Muslims are open to you, Muslims will be open to others.

This brings me to a suggestion for your second season. Maybe you could address how sometimes when Muslims talk to non-Muslims they may throw up walls inadvertently. Some funny experiences I have personally had are such comments as “Wow, you have very high morals for an infidel” lol And, “Wow, your way of life is almost as good as a Muslim’s!” (in reference to the fact people in my church have similar practices such as no drinking, no sex before marriage etc…) Or my personal favorite… “You don’t drink or sleep around? You are not American your heart is “Arab” (or insert their nationality here)” HaHa. I realize they think it’s a compliment. LOL And it really is funny since I have a good sense of humor. However, it is sometimes distressing to me how so often Muslims consider themselves moral by the shear fact they are Muslim or come from a Muslim country while “The West” is synonymous with "evil, wicked and debauchery" which is just as unfair as saying "Islam" means terrorism. Anyway, I'm sure you could put a really funny spin on this topic if you decide to use it. Feel free to contact me if you would like to develop this further. I work in the media as well, and am more than happy to donate my time to this great work you are doing. Salam
Rachel
