*NEW* Ummah Films video : Agree to Disagree

Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,

After receiving over 100,000 comments to the videos, I decided that it was finally time for me to comment on the troublemakers who use the comment section to start arguments. Unfortunately, many Muslims fall into the trap and end up fighting and even use the same foul language. Islamically, this is not the way we should be acting.

What is happening today isn't much different from 1400 years ago. People lie with the hopes of deceiving people about Islam but at the end they are only deceiving themselves. Actually, their false accusations of Islam has made others investigate, which has resulted in people accepting this beautiful Deen.

Salam Br. Ali - It is truly sad that people get involved in these arguments. You made some great points. Well done. Loved the "then why are we still alive" line. My mom was watching and it even made her laugh! Awesome. Anyways, take care and hope your Ramadan is going well. I've got exams :-)

Assalamu Alaikum brother Ali. Everything you said totally made sense. Alhamdu lillah you made a video about this topic."We have to pick our battles, otherwise, you're always gonna be at war." I really like that line. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait until your next video!

Asalaam Brother Ali and everyone--this video is amazing. Exactly focused on one of the main problems we all face--lack of respect and intolerance. And Brother Ali, you are exactly right--you can't argue with the ignorant people. Focus your energy on something positive! Thank you so much for making your videos--such a positive contribution! As usual, I love your videos. As a Mormon viewer, I too see lots of hatred and misinformation about my own faith. So many times, my husband will hear your videos streaming from my laptop and give a little Amen Brother to you. Your comments on behavior at the Masjid translate to what's going on at the Ward. So many lessons are so universal, realistic expectations in marriage, kindness, honesty, charity, and responsibility.

I say, ignore the Trolls on the internet and stick with those who show their character and worth in their actions. The Muslimahs that I call friends have shown their character by living Islam and ignoring those who harass them for their scarves or dress. Bless you for your good deeds.

there is also individuals that started this debate as an act to defame Islam ( not out of ignorance), and they have many examples and if they debate with someone that is less proficient in Islam and its teaching, the discussion can easily gets heaty,

Just wondering Ali what you meant by when Muslims peacefully ruled a good portion of the world or when they had the power, they were peaceful. I do not have much knowledge on this, but being Indian, I have heard stories of how the Muslim rule on India for thousands of years was quite brutal, with the exception of Akbar as one of the only civilized leaders who respected and had tolerance the local religion, aka Hinduism (which was his wife's religion). He even took away the religious tax imposed upon non-muslim Indians. But his predecessors and those who came after him were of the most brutal kinds of leaders, employing such brutal methods of torture in their rule. I understand that these people were not good muslims, despite their very powerful rule using Islam as a scapegoat for their brutality. So just wondering what examples you are referring to when you say "muslim rule was peaceful", etc. Please don't take this as coming from a place of ignorance or hate, but I simply don't have the knowledge and wish to educate myself. Thanks!

guys let's make a deal and say, if someone is making ignorant or hateful comments on youtube or wherever, just ignore them and DO NOT respond to them. Their worst nightmare is to be ignored since their whole point is to get attention. That's the best way to deal. So they'll just fade away, and intellectual discussion will prevail. :)

I have a Question. As a Muslim woman, I have to obey the laws of modesty. But at the same time, I am being asked to dress immodestly for my husband. I find that idea VERY repulsive and un-befitting that it's making me cry. Does my dress has to include one of those from the L stores. WHY?
I come from a culture where women dress decently, and uphold their modesty. Can't I just obey the laws of modesty and stay within my limits rather than worry myself to death that I have to dress like one of those models or actors, so that my husband doesn't stray?

Assalamu alaikum! I love Baba Ali movie clips, especially this one which I've experienced at my high school in Canton, Michigan. There was a lot of Muslim boys and girls at my school, but they twisted Islam rules. Muslim boys and girls would hang out together believing that it was ok since they are all Muslims. They also believed that dancing with their own gender was accepted. Some Muslim girls thought that they didn't have to wear hijabs because it supposedly never said that in the Quran. It was hard to find out the truths behind it. Especially dealing with teens and having to make horrible decisions--boyfriends and girlfriends. Now I live in Roanoke, va, in which there aren't lots of Muslims and those who were twisted Islam rules. Michigan contains tons and tons of Muslims and halah places, so I miss it a lot!!I hope that Muslims start to understand islam a lot better by watching ummahfilms! I know it has helped me! May allah bless all muslims! Salam everyone!Help Islam stay on the right track!Salam!

You did a great job by making this video the points you expressed are so honest and true. People should realize that Islam is not the extremist and terrorist things as the media and others have portrayed it to be. Inshallah Allah will make others understand. Keep up the amazing work. Salaam brother, I've been watching your video's since the begining and they only get better. You've helped me a lot, it is a shame that many choose ignorance over guidance with little thought for how Islam can benefit them. I am a Britsh Muslim and my wife is an Irish revert (there are no converts, only reverts to Islam), needless to say there have been some hardships and times are hard but we must all remember the reward is in the struggle. Keep up the good work, peace.

Hi, just wanted to say that your video is awesome. I like your point of view towards religion. Me, Im a Roman Catholic Christian but I dont believe in religion, so I consider myself as agnostic. But I believe on my own way and whats important is that I know what's right from wrong. More power!

Cheers,

Bhavna: Maybe a little info regarding your question. It is true when Islam is on the peak of its civilization, people live in very harmony. But, for a several place such as India, we can see a slightly barbaric rules by the islamic ruler at that time because they came from the root of Mongol( This people are very famous with the mission of conquering the world using mean ways).

The Mongols conquered several parts of India and after a while, they started to embrace Islam thanks to Da'wah that spreaded in India. After that, they themselves tried to spread the Da'wah by using ways that they understand which lied firmly in their heart. Which is a slightly harsh way. Hope this can help you a little bit.

My sympathy that so many speak so wrongly and so vilely. But the root of the problem lies in the very nature of Islam.
Lucifer was Allah's light-bearer, and knew Allah to be truly God. Then Allah told His angels: "Accept my only begotten Son as 'King of Heaven and Earth'." Lucifer rebelled, shouting, "I will not serve!" Allah threw Satan out of Heaven.
Satan can only injure Allah be denying Him what He loves. Allah created the worlds so He could share Himself with creatures, but such creatures must be citizens of His Son's Kingdom. So Satan, pretending to be Allah, told a half-truth: ' There is no God but Allah!' His true believers worship Allah but not in truth. So they cannot enter Heaven.
Herr Goebels of Nazi Germany used half-truths so his lies would be believed. People accept the lie because part of it is obviously true. But for Muslims, look at the evil results: We say pbuh, and we get wars. Our terrorists kill Muslims. Muslims starve and we do not help. Muslims get disease but Muslim doctors lag in medicine. We are poor, but some own oil. Our mosques and our government are one, but they seem to help only themselves. We buy guns, and use them mostly on fellow Muslims. Our women are mutilated instead of being helped. We inflict ourselves on many wives , and with a word send them away.. We bow five times a day, deny God's begotten Son, and are proud. Satan must be laughing!
'Techie Worlds' (available from Amazon.com) explains how the worlds are really built and explains the truth of Allah mechanically, logically and easily understood. Read a copy now. No longer suffer because of Satan's big lie. Be with Allah in Heaven.

al salamu alaikom brother ali :
i have watched most of your videos, and i really loved them very much..you always talk about REAL things and REAL problems that need solutions..and actually these problems you talk about are present in the eastern side as well..i say that because i am from egypt..it is as if you are talking about us here too..and these arguments are often led by youth, between muslims and non muslims, yet most of the muslims don't have enough knowledge about the verses the others trying to twist, so sometimes the non muslims actually win the arguments, because the muslims arguing them don't have ENOUGH knowledge..it is sad really..then the mulims start doubting the truth, and THAT IS EVEN WORSE..i really wish to see more videos about this..and about many other things..your videos are watched by the eastern side too, KEEP the GOOD WORK...
