Half Our Deen has launched!

Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,

Alhamdulillah with the tireless efforts of a great team, after several months of planning and development, hundreds of pages of coding, it is my immense pleasure and privilege to announce the launch of the new Muslim Match Making website, Half Our Deen. As many of you know, we have been working hard to provide an effective alternative to the current Muslim matrimonial sites, and InshAllah we hope you'll see the difference with Half Our Deen. Our goal with Half Our Deen is much more than just helping you find your future spouse. More importantly, we want to help you stay together and this is why I have made 10 new reminder videos explaining what to expect when you get married and giving you tips on how to make the marriage last InshAllah.

Half Our Deen is always a work in progress. We will constantly be working on the back end to make the site better InshAllah. We have made it affordable (a fraction of the cost of the competition) and offer you more features than any other Muslim matrimonial site.

It is my pleasure to invite you to the launch of Half Our Deen. Please visit www.halfourdeen.com. On the homepage, we have a video explaining some of the great features of Half Our Deen. Please watch it first so you'll be familiar on how Half Our Deen works. Once you have finished watching the video, please click on the "Start" button. Just like my video blogs, I'll be walking you through, step by step via video explanation.

Whatever I gain from Half Our Deen, I cannot take to my grave. The only currency on the Day of Judgment will be hasanat, so I pray InshAllah that good deeds come out of this project.

JazakAllah Khair for all your patience.

Assalaamu 'Alaykum my brother. It's me Amaan again. Your website is great. I just watched the video about it and it's just so amazing Mashallah! It's so cool from the questions to how you easily tell if the couple is intrested in you and everything! But there is one small important thing I need to tell you.

It's about those two buttons. One says I'm interested and the other says I'd rather fast. It's the second one I'm worrying about. You see the second is somehow showing fasting in a negative way. As you know fasting in Ramadhan is very important. It's when we fast worship our Creator and please Him and in the hope we get the reward in the Hereafter Inshallah. It's one of the 5 Pillars of Islam! Maybe you shouldn't make the button I'd rather fast because maybe it's kind of showing it in a negative way.

But still the website is great Alhumdulillah It's just so fantastic. Many, Many peple will come Inshallah and maybe Iwill use it when I'm looking for someone to marry Inshallah! (I'm only 16 years old!)

Assalaamu 'Alaykum Warahmatullaahi Warabakatuh

Walaikum Salam,

As far as the two buttons. ONLY when someone clicks "Sounds Interesting" a notification is sent. When "I'd rather fast" is clicked, no one gets notified and you are taken to the next profile. The buttons basically replace the "Yes" and "No" idea. Fasting is prescribed if you can not get married so that is where the idea came from.

Assalamualakum Mr.Baba Ali

This website is extremely cool. You been actually take time to answer people's qestions. Your videos on youtube are so interesting. I just started wearing hijab and I also stop wearing jeans and shirt and wear more loser clothes. Sometmes I feel like I am so different from the other people and that is hard. Do you have any advice for me.

congratulations! may allah help you and bless you.

yes, sometimes you may feel different from other people. unfortunately, it's not always easy to maintain your morals, especially in a society that is always encouraging you to do bad things. maybe you can hang out with other muslim women who also try to be modest. try to remain strong and stick to what you know to be the right thing to do. inshallah people will pray for you to succeed. may allah bless you sister.

Re: Promotional opportunity for HOD

My name is Amber Misk, Founder of sisterswhoblog network and SSOUQ. I would like to invite you to celebrate with our members the Holy Month of Ramadan.

In the spirit of giving and bringing joy to others, I thought it would be interesting if you promoted Half our Deen by giving one lucky winner "6-month or 1yr subscription to HOD" during our Ramadan Festivity.

If interested, please contribute one Islamic quiz that we’ll announce in Ramadan to our members on blogger, our network and facebook. The lucky winner will win your promotional gift :)

In return we will advertise your company’s logo on our network, magazine and SSOUQ during the month of Ramadan.

Contact ambermisk @ gmail dot com if interested.

Thank you,

Amber Misk

salam,

i was thinking that you should post like the number of customers you have on the front page of the website. that way, people who want to sign up can know how popular the site is. like, if you have a lot of people signed up, people will be more likely to want to sign up. just a thought. thanks.

Half our Deen does not seem to have any members. I joined and paid for the site but there were zero matches even when I searched for people between the ages of 20-55 !!
Perhaps you can make it free for 6 months before you start charging,so that you will have a base of clients before you start charging.
Otherwise, people like me feel shortchanged.

Assalam alaikum wr wb, brother!

Insha Allah you will be rewarded abundantly in this life and the Hereafter for your work - and Insha Allah, very soon, I will be availing of Half Our Deen's services (once I convince my dad Insha Allah :-))

I have two questions which Insha Allah I hope you can answer.

1. I'm not a member of any matchmaking websites as yet. However, from the previews on Qiran and other websites, I've noticed that the candidates tend to be on the older side. I thought this might be so because most people regard the Internet as a last resort. I'm looking for someone younger (mid-twenties) and I was wondering if you could tell me if the demographic is a little younger with Half Our Deen. I totally understand if you can't divulge that information.

2. How do I convince my dad? :D What he's mostly worried about is my safety and I think he wants me to stick to our culture (pfft) which is Sri Lankan preferably, though South East Asian I HOPE will be fine as well.

Pfew. Looking forward to your answer.

Jazakhallah khair katheeran!

Wassalam,
Sabina.
