Doctor, Director! Reshoot Airport scene

Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,

We had to go back to do our airport scene due to security concerns that arose during our initial shoot.

Sad to say, we were busted again, but the security guy was nice enough to give us 10 minutes to do our work. After 3 hours, we were done and left :)

Last night, I met with our editor, Brenden, who also helped us during the shoot as Camera Assist, Focus Puller, Gaffer, P.A, 2nd A.C and on and on....

A recent graduate of the famed Sheridan College's Media Arts Program, Brenden is trained in Post Production and dreams of becoming a VFX expert. Go Get'em Brenden.

For Doctor, Director, Brenden will be using Final Cut Pro, in conjunction with Adobe After Effects to piece together the footage we shot on June 12/13th.

Friday - Rental equipment pickup: 3pm-9pm
Saturday - Day 1: Call time: 5am. Wrap up: 9pm
Sunday - Day 2: Call time: 7am. Wrap up: 1AM
Monday - Day 3: Rental equipment return: 8am-12pm.

TOTAL WORK HOURS IN 4 DAYS PERIOD: 44 HOURS

A film that requires all the fancy camera work that we planned for should be shot over a week. However, the Ummah Films team crammed all this work into a weekend!

Thanks to all the amazing people that helped us out. Everyone worked long days under tight deadlines with very little sleep. But it couldn't have been more fun. Everyone keept up the positive energy despite the crummy weather (it rained all day saturday!) and the super-tight shooting schedule.

1 week away from the new shoot date!

We're ONE week away for our new shoot date!

We had to move our original shoot date because of rainy weather in Toronto. Inshallah we're hoping to get our film shot the weekend of June 12th & 13th.

I just got off the phone from a few equipment houses in Toronto where we're getting the rest of our equipment. We need some more lights, a bunch of grip equipment and some camera lenses. Boy, is it expensive!!

We are so close to making this dream project a reality! Please help us out by chipping in:

New shoot dates

To accomodate cast/crew availability, we have rescheduled our principal shooting to June 12/13th, inshaAllah.
