Finding a Halal Investment isn't easy.
Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,
Many years ago, I had saved a little money on the side and wanted to invest it into something. The problem was that I couldn’t find one Halal investment. It seemed like every company or project dealt with Interest in one way or another. So I decided to matters in my own hands, and I made my own project to invest in: a unique board game. The problem was that to produce and market this game would cost $18k but I didn’t have $18k. So I showed the game to a few friends who were in the same situation as me (had saved a little money but had no where to invest it) and they all jumped in at the opportunity. Long story short, they became my silent investors and they each made a 24% return. I was the guy with the idea/project, they were the ones with the money, and together we were able to make an idea into a reality and everyone a profit. Through my travels of being Baba Ali, I have been fortunate enough to meet some really talented people who have great ideas but no funding, and others who wanted to invest into something Halal but are unable to find any good opportunities. They understand that with inflation, things just get more expensive and thus, their money is worthless as time passes. So I decided to hold an event to put together a room full of talented people and ambitious people so they can expand their networks, build connections, and to connect for present or future projects. Plus, it would give the opportunity to those who have special skill sets to showcase their work. This event can even be beneficial for anyone who knows the benefit of expanding their network. I have learned that it's not always what you know but often time, who you know that opens doors of opportunity. The purpose of this event is to expand who YOU know inshAllah. Event is on April 6th, 2013 in Orange County, CA.
Since space is limited in each category (to keep a balance) so please register today to ensure you get in. To pre-register fill out the survey: www.bbnnetwork.org/networkingshowcase

Last Chance to sign up for HOD Offline in Santa Clara!
Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,
Assalamualaikum,
We hope you had a special Eid and Ramadan with your families :) We wanted to let you know the good news! Offline is coming to Santa Clara and we only have 10 seats left for the LAST HOD Offline Singles Event of 2012 in Santa Clara on 29th September. Have you signed up yet?
Here at Half Our Deen it is our goal to change the face of Muslim matchmaking both on and offline. We take a look at how things are normally done then come up with a way that makes it more efficient, private, and successful, with help of Allah (swt). Please take a look at a video that explains it all https://vimeo.com/40159386.
Alhamdulilah, our past 4 offline events have been a great success and we are getting ready to launch a few more in the coming months. By the grace of Allah (swt), these events have helped us bring together 1 marriage and 36 matches in our last 4 events. Add to that the over 320 matches made online in the past two years and it is no wonder why Half Our Deen is one of the top Muslim matchmaking sites.
At our last event in San Diego participants said "I most liked the ability to actually spend time talking to others rather than listening to long lectures and rushing through introductions" and "The activities were well planned; fun, interactive and specifically tailored to the Muslim youth. The organizers were friendly and accommodating".
Here is a brief story of the couple that got married through HOD Offline :) After knowing this wonderful sister for a couple of months and found her to be someone that I'd like to share my life with, I asked her if she would take me into consideration. We both were on HOD. Our compatibility matching, provided only by the HOD unique sophisticated algorithm, confirmed also that we would be a good match. MashaAllah when I looked at her profile the compatibility algorithm had her in the 90 percentile in 'Religious views', 'Would you marry', and 'Family'. It is also worth mentioning that we attended the HOD Offline event in California and subhanAllah were seated at the same table.
Spots are already being filled so don't procrastinate. Deadline is 29th August. If you know you can't make it, please tell the single brothers & sisters you know InshaAllah.
We hope to see you soon filling out your survey and registering for HOD Offline by clicking http://halfourdeen.polldaddy.com/s/offline-registration-santaclara-1.
We look forward to helping you find your other half! :)
When I became Muslim, I saw a big difference between what Islam teaches and what the Muslims did. I decided to make videos, with the hope of making a positive difference. Please comment and share the video. JazakAllah Khair.

New Baba Ali Video! "What will the peopel say?" - Ummah Films
Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,
v
It's amazing how we focus more on pleasing the people rather than pleasing our Creator so I decided to make a video about this very subject. If my idea works, the the phase of "what will the people say?" will become so ANNOYING that it will be stuck in our heads so the next time we hear it, we will remember the message behind this video, InshAllah. The reality is that I can't change the world overnight but my hope it to make a positive difference within the Muslim Ummah....one video at a time - Baba Ali
