New Baba Ali Video! "What will the peopel say?" - Ummah Films

Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem,

v

It's amazing how we focus more on pleasing the people rather than pleasing our Creator so I decided to make a video about this very subject. If my idea works, the the phase of "what will the people say?" will become so ANNOYING that it will be stuck in our heads so the next time we hear it, we will remember the message behind this video, InshAllah. The reality is that I can't change the world overnight but my hope it to make a positive difference within the Muslim Ummah....one video at a time - Baba Ali

Assalaamu alikom,
Great point , Masha'Allah!
One thing caught my attention:
Why was it that all the focus was on the parents worrying about "What will the people say?"..how about young people worrying about "What will the people say ?" They do have different "types" of worries, the young may worry about their looks, and things they own...Anyway, it is a disease that we should all get rid of that is called (Ar-Reya' ) Hypocracy. May Allah clear our hearts from it. Ameen.
Keep up the great work, we have always enjoyed your videos and learned from them.
Jazaka Allahu Khairan.

Hi! Great videos, and yes I'm very late since i just discovered them (shame on me), but where can I ask questions? I mean, I really have tons of questions about subjects that are often discussed in school, like the theory of the evolution and that kinda stuff, and since I live in Sweden where almost every single person is an extreme atheist, science classes are just extremely are tough as hell. Help???

what will the people say???? seriously!!!! who cares?????? we'll thats easier said than done! i know what god thinks about you matters more. but do we not have to think about people some times too as to not hurt anyones feeling??? obviously depending on the situation.

i'm not being critical it's just that i know some poeple who totally don't care about other peoples feeling or values and they ussually seem to cover up by saying it doesn't matter what you think about me because i only care about what god thinks about me. i guess these people need to learn about how to speak to people and deal with conflicting issues respectfully in a loving manner.
my point is if a certain cultural value doesn't go against islam, then there's nothing wrong with following it, maybe if you do it your parents will be happy with you and you will get rewards for that too inshallah.
just like people running off with the grooms shoes in some cultures lol doesn't realy affect islam and if you get angry about it you would obviously upset those people who probabaly only did it for a laugh in the first place (..or i don't know, what ever reason??) lol
i had no intention of posting a looong essay. i guess you inspire me to speak out, something i do alot these days! keep up the good work bro!

asalamu' alaikum, thank you baba ali your videos have inspired me to want to become a better muslim and want to help my friends in becoming better muslims. i dont know if you will have time to read my comment but i wanted to seek some advice...but first some background info may be needed. my name is hinna i am 14 from the uk...i wear a scarf and have recently stopped wearing makeup..my friends who do wear scarfs take them off in school..i used to wear makeup when i got to school, without my parents knowing but now i dont want to lie to them and hurt them. however me not wearing make up or as 'nicely dressed' has had a big impact on my confidence and i have seen a change in my friends reactions towards me.. i seem like they feel i may not be good looking enough to hang around with them, but i dont want to lose my friends because i just came to a new school, i dont understand what to do..because im trying so hard to start following the right path.. how do i keep my friends without following the wrong path? is makeup/appearance that important to people

To Baba Ali - you won. This jingle IS stuck in my head, along with the message behind it. :)

To Hinna -
Don't stress about your friends. I know that's easier said than done, but there are lots of people like you who go and do a good act, and they are shunned or frowned up on for it, just like the Prophet Muhammed, sallalau alayhi wa salaam.

When I tell you don't stress, what I mean is, your friends will come around if they are true friends. Only the good ones will stand by you, and those are the only ones you really need. Don't put on make-up just because they do. You don't have to follow them, you can be a leader. Maybe some of them will start following your example. And that would be best for you and them.

The pressure you feel is normal, but don't give in. You are stronger than that.

Insha'allah Khair, Hinna. I wish you the best. May Allah guide you on your path.
