BaarakAllahu Feekum Yaa Akhi! I really like the part when you reminded us to Go Back & learn the True "Aqeedah", BaarakAllahu Feekum! Indeed, our success is in following the right Aqeedah of our "Salaf-us-Saalah"! JazakAllahu Khayran

Thanks man... Culture in the name of Islam is such a common issue...

brother its not part of culture nor deen to wear our garments below our ankles so why do we see you doing so even though we are warned in hadeeth not to?

Anonymous brother, wearing your garments below your ankles might not be part of culture or deen, but not everything that people do is due to culture. In this case, it is probably due to arrogance (or ignorance), and there is no one more ignorant than the brother whom when advised about this issue claims that he does not wear his garments below his ankles out of arrogance!

This might be very relevant:

Asslamulakum, baba ali....love the "cultural Parents" video. I actually cried at the end! very powerful stuff. I am a convert to islam almost 2 yrs. ago. It is so sad that children born into islam are not learning from their parents. Islam is a beautiful religion and I hope this video will open the eyes of many. Thank you for all of your blogs....

A very good video, thank you. Most parents always want their kids to be doctors and lawyers etc but very few say do something for hereafter and the Ummah. Inshallah that will change

Assalamu Alaykum
Thank you soooo much for making this video!! I sort of go through the same thing, because I was born into Islam. I see it happen all the time, and I myself do get confused between cultural and religious practices. I get really angry sometimes when this happens because it prevents me from doing the things that are infact halal or it may lead me to doing something haram. It's wierd. I'm going to try to show my parents this video though. Thanks Ali!!! I'll always be watching your videos, keep them coming.

Salam o'aleykom wa rahmatullah,
Baba Ali, this video is just The video that made my heart shine.

I think that your path through life might be spiritually a little bit similar to mine, because I have been ignoring the religion of my parents until I got very lost... And since last year, I came back to the real religion searching for faith through science. I think that maybe you also had that cultural gap problem with your parents, a reason why you made this video.

You are a real big inspiration to me, and (I can say) a model, I deeply hope that Allah (sobhana wa ta'ala) will reward you very big for all these powerful but sober and simple things you have made for the community!

I wish you keep on doing such delightful contents incha'Allah, and that your business will flourish as it deserves to.

Sincerely yours, Fahd from Paris.

Documentaries have been credited throughout history for having a vast impact on cultural meanings. Many film schools worldwide teach the art of documentary film making. The schools and classes teach understanding the fundamental aesthetic tools of documentary film making such as camera operation, sound, structure, and also the interview.
