Sorry, I double posted. So ready for this movie; I'A it'll rock.
I can not take any credit for this film. I just helped with the executive producer role which isn't much. The real credit goes to Adnan and the team he put together (too many to list but their names are in the credits). They film was filmed in Toronto and comes out tomorrow.
I have yet to even see the film myself :)
As far as music, they told me its only percussion. Again, I did not make the film so I'm not there in the process. I've been busy working on Half Our Deen which launches tomorrow and I've made 10 new videos (filmed & edited) and I'll be releasing a new video once a week for 10 weeks InshAllah.
So, yeah I'm back for Season 5 :)
This looks like it should be very funny, perhaps even provocative. Alhamdulilleh, I hope to see it soon!
We used percussion through-out the movie, but the score of the movie has MUSIC in it.

salaam, just want to ask about the music, i thought u guys didn't do music? Can u please explain abt the percussion...is it ok for Muslims? I thought only daff and tabl was allowed. Please clarify.

Well... if my opinion matters for anything: "percussion" ain't the same thing as "duff", brothers. And it wasn't pure percussion either. The intro to the trailer had string instruments. I'm disappointed with the addition of music. You could've done beatboxing as an alternative if you really really REALLY wanted to put music in there. :( and I had to see this while on the first day of fasting! agh! Astaghfirullah.
